Trek to dunes of Chegaga itinerary

Day 1: Ouarzazate | Foum Zguid | Erg El Mhazil :

Departure from Ouarzazate towards the Oasis of Fint, with a short stop to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Continue to Foum Zguid through scenic desert views. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant or enjoy a picnic.

After lunch, meet the 4×4 driver and load the equipment. Leave the paved road and head towards Lake Iriki, where you meet the camel team. From there, start your hike to Erg El Mhazil, where you arrive at your first desert camp for the night.

Days 2, 3 & 4: Chegaga Desert Trek Experience :

Enjoy a 3-day desert trek in the Moroccan Sahara, exploring the stunning dunes of Erg Chegaga. Walk across vast golden sand dunes at a relaxed pace, with around 4 to 5 hours of trekking each day, allowing time to enjoy the peaceful desert landscapes and natural beauty.

For a more adventurous option, a camel ride can be included during the journey, offering an authentic Sahara experience. Each night is spent in a private desert camp under the stars, surrounded by silence and the magic of the desert. This Sahara trekking experience combines adventure, culture, and total escape in one of Morocco’s most beautiful desert regions.

Day 5 : Desert | Foum Zguid | Ouarzazate :

On the final day of your Erg Chegaga desert trek, enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, start a 1h30 walk across the desert to meet your driver. Then begin your journey back to Ouarzazate via Foum Zguid, passing through stunning desert landscapes along the way.
